Sizing
Get the size right
the first time
These get worn once, on a date you can't move, so it's worth two minutes now. Measure your hips for shorts or your waist for trunks, then let us tell you where to start.
How to measure
- Stand up straight, feet about shoulder-width apart.
- For shorts, wrap the tape evenly around your hips at the widest point.
- For trunks, measure around your waist at the narrowest point.
- Keep it snug but not digging in.
- Look straight ahead and read the number where the tape meets.
Then pick your length
Hold the tape at the side of your leg and measure down to where you want the hem to finish. Mid-thigh is about 14″. Just above the knee is about 15″. Those two are our standards; 16″ and 17″ are available, and custom goes down to 13″.
Length rules differ between federations and divisions. Check yours before you choose.
The bit most people get wrong
Your division
changes the answer
Men's physique
Size down.
It's a stretch fabric and you'll keep getting leaner through prep. Sizing down lands a better fit on the day.
Bodybuilding trunks
Size up.
Trunks are cut smaller than the physique shorts and come in letter sizes off our trunk chart. If your waist measurement falls between two sizes, take the larger one.
Classic physique
Your call.
Down if you want to show more glute, up if you want more coverage. Neither is wrong — it's how you want to present.
Garment measurements
Men's physique
size chart
All figures in inches. These are the garment's measurements, not your body's.
| Size | Waist | Waist to crotch | Inseam (14″) | Inseam (15″) | Length |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 26″ | 26 | 11 | 5.5 | 6.5 | 14″ / 15″ |
| 28″ | 28 | 11.5 | 5.25 | 6.25 | 14″ / 15″ |
| 30″ | 30 | 12 | 5 | 6 | 14″ / 15″ |
| 32″ | 32 | 12.5 | 4.75 | 5.75 | 14″ / 15″ |
| 34″ | 34 | 13 | 4.5 | 5.5 | 14″ / 15″ |
A — length, top of the waistband to the bottom hem. B — waist to crotch, the front rise. C — the waist the shorts are made to fit. D — inseam, crotch seam to hem. The 15″ has a 1″ longer inseam than the 14″.

Send us a photo
If it's your first show you probably don't know your stage weight yet, and a tape measure in week one of prep tells you less than you'd think.
Send us your measurements and a couple of photos. Josh reads structure well and can usually tell where you'll land by show day. It's what we already do in the DMs — it just shouldn't be something you have to know to ask for.
Worth doing with your coach too. They'll have a view on where you'll be.
What comes back is sizing guidance based on experience, not a guaranteed fit. You know your body and your prep better than we do, so treat it as a strong recommendation rather than a promise.
